4 Movie Recommendations: Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is coming up this Saturday and I thought it would be nice if I gave movie recommendation for the singles or taken to watch if they’re staying inside. These movies are my personal favorites and they’re not limited to just Valentine’s Day.

1. She’s the Man (2006)

This movie stars Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum and the movie is an absolute favorite of mine. The movie revolves around Viola who ends up taking her brother’s spot at an elite boarding school to play on their soccer team because the team at her school was cut. She ends up transforming into a man to play but it gets difficult to keep it a secret along with her falling for her roommate. I could watch this movie multiple times and it will still be as hilarious as the first time I watched it. [TRAILER]

2. Crazy, Stupid, Love. (2011)

Crazy, Stupid, Love. stars Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, and Steve Carell. Cal (Steve Carell) is a middle-aged man whose wife asks for a divorce unexpectedly. He later meets a bachelor, Jacob, (Ryan Gosling) who’s a womanizer at a bar who teaches Cal how to pick up ladies. Hannah (Emma Stone) is a young lady who rejected Jacob’s advances. Overall this movie is pretty good but some parts can be a little bit boring. [TRAILER]

3. The Vow (2012)

Paige (Rachel McAdams) and Leo (Channing Tatum) are newlyweds, but their life together suddenly shatters when a car accident leaves her in a coma. When Paige comes out of her coma, she ends up having severe memory loss and doesn’t remember who Leo is. The movie continues with her having a confusing relationship with her parents and still having feelings for an ex-fiance. The movie was inspired by a true story which made it really sad that someone actually experienced this in their actual life but the movie wasn’t sad to the point of crying for me. [TRAILER]

4. The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)

Everyone pretty much knows about the movie plot so no need for a summary. If you get extremely bored with the full on romance movies, you can watch this. Not only does it have action in it, but it also has romance between Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) and Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone). How can anyone resist his dorkiness? [TRAILER]

Hope you guys enjoy watching these movies that I personally like. Next week, I will be writing about either Chinese New Year or a blog post that shows the recipe and how to make tiramisu (Italian Dessert). I look forward to creating these next two blog posts.
